Materials and sustainable development

Brief description: This micro-credential aims to provide an overview of materials science, emphasising sustainable practices. It covers the properties and types of materials, their environmental impact, and the relationship between material production, use, and sustainability. Participants will gain knowledge of critical materials for advanced applications like electric vehicles and aviation and learn how to use computer-aided tools for materials selection and eco-design. It also explores the UN’s sustainability goals and circular economy.
