Energy Transition

This TIG is focused on the analysis of the different approaches and responses that Universities can give in relation to the energy transition, from a technical, economic and social perspective.

Interests are currently focused on smart grid processes, the introduction of renewable energies in the energy mix, efficient heat transport and electrical transmission lines.

As a starting point for the collaboration between the different members, a proposal for a Blended Intensive Program has been initiated, led by the Polytechnic Institute of Bragança (IPB), PT and the University of La Laguna will act as hosting university.

Information about our TIG including the goals and objectives

This newly founded TIG met in November 2022 for the first time and is only starting to organise itself. Even though „Living Spaces“ was initiated from the fields of civil engineering and architecture, we intend to be as open as possible regarding academic fields and disciplines, and invite all teachers and researchers, who are involved in addressing issues of how and where people live, how they organise their mobility, leisure time, etc. The following picture gives an overview on who could join.
