Abstract: Along the processes of just transitions, anti-discrimination law faces important limitations in addressing persistent structural and complex inequalities in employment. This presents an important challenge to social justice and deeming it necessary to question and re-examine foundational concepts towards a broad and substantive conception of equality, reclaim the anti-subordination dimension of the prohibition of discrimination and consolidate an intersectional gender perspective as a cross-cutting analytical tool to achieve real and effective equality in the world of work.

About STARS Talks: This format of knowledge exchange and interaction is organised by our Challenge Lab. Its monthly webinars will discuss different initiatives based on science, knowledge and innovation that can be useful or inspiring for the development of our regions. Each webinar will include a short dissertation on the chosen topic by the guest speaker, and afterwards the session will be open for dialogue and interaction.
