Curriculum Lab

Led by Bremen University of Applied Sciences and co-led by Polytechnic Institute of Bragança, aims to identify the needs of regional external stakeholders and in what concerns upskilling and reskilling solutions of adult learners are needed, preparing them for the future jobs of our regions, and active contributors of the future-ready economy of regions in transition (Micro-credentials).

The opportunities and challenges of micro-credentials for upskilling and reskilling with students, teachers, directors of studies, staff, researchers, sectors and industries, namely within the STARS EU Priority Areas will be explored.

Also, the Lab will develop the study programmes, new or innovative joint flexible curricula where future competencies and new pedagogies will be tested and scaled up. Teachers and Life-long learner communities will be created and supported facilitating their collaboration.

Regional Transition Accelerator

The RTA, led by Hanze University of Applied Sciences, for the interregional engagement and collaboration supporting regional transition will develop and test collaboration models and structures involving students, researchers, teachers, consumers, private, public, or social organizations, workers, volunteers, or civil society, around STARS EU Priority Areas. RTA aims to connect all relevant regional stakeholders and facilitate the regional innovation ecosystem development.

Information about our TIG including the goals and objectives

This newly founded TIG met in November 2022 for the first time and is only starting to organise itself. Even though „Living Spaces“ was initiated from the fields of civil engineering and architecture, we intend to be as open as possible regarding academic fields and disciplines, and invite all teachers and researchers, who are involved in addressing issues of how and where people live, how they organise their mobility, leisure time, etc. The following picture gives an overview on who could join.

For the time being, we focus on organising joint teaching activities, e.g. blended intensive programme (BIP), collaborative online international learning activitiy (COIL), or guest lecturing (virtual and in presence).
In the long run, collaborative projects in teaching and research are envisaged.
