Abstract:

STARS EU aims to strengthen cooperation across its nine regional ecosystems by actively bringing together stakeholders from academia, industry, government, and society. This interregional collaboration is designed to stimulate innovation, enhance knowledge exchange, and contribute to greater prosperity in all participating regions.

The concept of “interregionalisation” can take many shapes, drawing on diverse theoretical foundations and practical implementations. At Hanze University of Applied Sciences, the research group International Business has made interregionalisation one of its key research lines in recent years.

In this STARS EU Talk, Daniela Naydenova and Diederich Bakker will share their research activities and present their insights into how interregionalisation can be fostered, understood, and leveraged across European regions. Their perspectives can lead to understanding both the opportunities and challenges of building strong, interconnected regional ecosystems within STARS EU.

About STARS Talks: This format of knowledge exchange and interaction is organised by our Challenge Lab. Its monthly webinars will discuss different initiatives based on science, knowledge and innovation that can be useful or inspiring for the development of our regions. Each webinar will include a short dissertation on the chosen topic by the guest speaker, and afterwards the session will be open for dialogue and interaction.
