What is a European university alliance and how can it benefit me as a student?A European university alliance is a collaboration between several higher education institutions from different European countries that seek to improve the quality of education and promote academic opportunities for their students. As a student, you can benefit from mobility programs, joint courses, exchanges, and access to shared resources. For lecturers and researchers, STARS EU offers opportunities for professional growth and development, and a platform for international collaboration, exchange and networking.  What is STARS EU?STARS EU is an alliance of nine universities from the Netherlands, Germany, France, Albania, Spain, Poland, Czech Republic, Sweden and Portugal, whose mission is to create a European university based on innovative, flexible, diverse and challenge-based education and research systems. What mobility programs are available through the alliance? The alliance offers mobility programs that can include Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs), Collaborative Online International Learnings, semester or annual exchanges, and short-term stays for internships or research. These programs allow you to study at a partner university in another country for a specific period in which you earn academic credits that you can then transfer to your home university. What are Blended Intensive Programs (BIPs) and how can I apply for them?BIPs are programs that combine a part of virtual learning with a face-to-face experience at another university in the alliance, and allow you to participate, as a student or professor, in short-term international courses or projects, without having to commit to a long exchange. Participation may depend on your area of study and the courses available, so we recommend that you check with the host university. Check out this page to find the mobility officer at your university.  How does credit recognition work within the alliance? The alliance strives to ensure that credits earned at partner universities are recognized at your home university. Before starting a mobility programme or course, review the syllabus with your academic tutor to ensure that credits are transferable.  Is there any specific funding to participate in the programs offered?Yes, most of the alliance's mobility programmes are supported by the Erasmus+ programme, which cover travel, accommodation, food, insurance and transport costs. Check the application requirements through on our website or by contacting the international offices of each of the alliance's member universities. Do I need to speak multiple languages to participate in the alliance's programs? Not necessarily, but keep in mind that many destinations require proof of a minimum level of English. It is best to make the consultation at the destination university of your choice. Can I access courses from partner universities without travelling?Yes, we offer online courses that you can take from your home university, which can cover various areas of study and allow you to learn alongside students and professors from other universities in the alliance.  What research or internship opportunities exist within the alliance? The alliance fosters research collaboration and facilitates international internship programs. You can access shared research projects, participate in international teams and do internships in companies or institutions in alliance countries.  How can I get up-to-date information on alliance opportunities and events? The best way to stay up to date is through the alliance's website and your university's newsletters; You can also follow our social networks or go to our contact email: info@starseu.comÂ
