What we are searching for:

Send us your original ideas to create innovative new course units that enrich the STARS EU European curriculum. Submit a proposal for a novel course that can be integrated into our alliance’s European curriculum, whether for bachelor’s or master’s programmes at different levels. It is particularly important that courses are available in English or can be easily translated. What factors need to be considered? Proposed courses must fit one of the following formats:
  • Online or hybrid as a COIL (Collaborative Online International Learning), a methodology that connects students and faculty from different countries online, fostering shared learning and intercultural collaboration.
  • Online or hybrid in the form of guest lectures delivered by invited faculty.
  • Other innovative online or hybrid formats not listed here.
  • Blended as a BIP (Blended Intensive Programme), short and innovative training programmes for students, faculty, and university staff that combine online and face-to-face learning.
The call allows for two types of courses: newly designed courses created specifically for this initiative, and existing courses from your current curriculum that can be shared (with or without adaptations) within the alliance. The ultimate goal is to build a shared curriculum for all STARS EU partner institutions. Which proposals are particularly valued? STARS EU is especially interested in courses that foster one or more of the following competences:
  • Transdisciplinarity / interdisciplinary collaboration
  • Regional and interregional community development / stakeholder engagement and co-creation
  • Global awareness and regional understanding
  • Strategic planning and visioning
  • Systems thinking (understanding interconnected systems)
  • Sustainability competence / ethical and sustainable thinking
  • Interregional policy knowledge and governance development

What you get:

  • You will become part of a major European initiative promoting the internationalisation of teaching and learning in higher education.
  • You will gain access to a network of universities across nine European countries, united by a shared vision of innovative, inclusive teaching that prioritises international collaboration and sustainable growth.
