Brief description: This micro-credential focuses on understanding electricity generation and energy storage systems. Participants will study the operation of different energy sources—such as hydropower, wind power, thermal power, and solar cells—and their conversion into electricity. The course covers generator systems using both synchronous generators and power electronics, as well as the technical potential of various storage technologies, including batteries and pumped storage. Practical skills in performing load flow analysis and fault current calculations for power stations are also developed. ECTS: 2.5Dates: April - May 2025Organiser: University West (HV)Participating partners:: University West (HV); Bragança Polytechnic University (IPBFor more information: www.hv.se
