The STARS EU ALLIANCE Thematic Interest Groups (TIGs) play a key role in generating knowledge and making the contribution they make to society in the form of innovative products, public and private, a process that involves research and scientific staff, as well as technologists, teachers, students, local entrepreneurs and civil society leaders. All of them are firmly involved in addressing areas as important and decisive as the circular economy, energy transition, digital transformation, arts and creative industries, healthy ageing, living spaces, or entrepreneurship and innovation. In addition to being instrumental in driving the priority areas of the STARS EU ALLIANCE  – so it is crucial to support the research community involved – the TIGs are set up as real open opportunities with which to create new potential areas that can join those already underway.
