Art and creative industries, in their many forms, has been the most powerful historical tool for promoting human rights, equality and ethical societal values. By transcending cultural and linguistic boundaries to communicate complex and emotional ideas, ART plus co-CREATIVE method, is the most complex human instrument of provocation, empathy and reflection.

UPHOLD commitment

The TIG of Arts and Creative Industries committed to upholding creative societal values and addressing societal challenges, aiming to build inclusive common spaces through the connection of institutions and communities. The main goal is to foster innovative educational processes and creative thinking in a holistic approach to higher education. This group is dedicated to advancing democratic values of citizenship, establishing elements that support integration, inclusion, and equality, and promoting a variety of artistic languages within a dialogue of change.

GENERATE design+ art-based thinking

Cultural events serve as a humanizing context for awareness, providing platforms for diverse artistic expressions that address structural themes and share pedagogical challenges within academic settings and across STARS EU local regions. These events contribute to deeper intercultural connections and foster the capacity to generate creative, design-driven, art-based thinking. By integrating collaborative social solutions, interdisciplinary tools, platforms, and emerging technologies, what is wanted is a meaningful creative expression and proactive collaboration around diversity, cultural perspectives and future practices.

RESILENCE innovation

The role played as agents of innovation in art and sustainable development is to create frameworks that drive social change within the creative industries – arts, media, design, architecture, crafts, among others – to achieve a position of catalyst capable of empowering both groups and individuals. And all this without forgetting the challenges of building "resilient community" ties, fostering adaptability and creativity through cultural capital.

UNLOCK creativity

As new challenges and changing needs are faced within specific regions, Combined Intensive Programmes (BIPs) are being developed, such as UNLOCKING IMAGINATION!, now in its third edition, and CREATIVITY FOR INCLUSION!, an initiative aimed at STARS EU ALLIANCE staff members.  TIG Art and creative industries is strongly committed to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), by promoting projects such as the ART[h]RIGHTS exhibition, initiatives for Local Markets, Inclusion and Creativity, and Mountain Landscape Art Projects, all aligned with the alliance's transdisciplinary actions.
