Internacional CUT Campus: Students’ Competition Driven by Novel Approaches

Do you want to contribute to creating a modern, ecological and functional campus for Crakow University of Technology with which our university is fully integrated into the local urban context? Then this challenge is for you.
The Tadeusz Kościuszko Crakow University of Technology (CUT), together with its Faculty of Architecture, is launching an international ideas competition for students to develop a design proposal for the Czyżyny Campus of the Crakow University of Technology. The International Student Competition – CUT CAMPUS: Powered by New Approaches, whose honorary sponsor is the University of Krakow, is an educational event aimed at fostering creativity, developing practical skills in students and integrating the academic community.
The competition, whose scope of action covers the land belonging to the Crakow University of Technology ─located in the Czyżyny district─ and adjacent areas, seeks innovative proposals with potential that are capable of improving the quality of urban space and supporting the sustainable development of our city. Those who wish to participate must prepare a proposal for a modern, ecological and functional campus for the CUT, which can be integrated into its local urban context.
Participants
Both individual contestants and teams of up to 10 students are invited to participate, under the supervision of an academic professor. Proposals will be evaluated in four categories: architecture, urban design, landscape architecture and open category (for visual arts and other works of any type and technique).
Awards
A total of 14 cash prizes will be awarded. The total prize fund of the competition is PLN 44,000; special prizes awarded by the rector of the CUT and the dean of the Faculty of Architecture of the CUT will also be awarded. Proposals will be evaluated by an international jury chaired by Professor Rafi Segal.
Deadline
The deadline for submission of proposals is 10 July 2025, and the announcement of the results and the opening of the exhibition and post-competition publication will take place in October 2025.
